  • District 41 should remain a place where working families can afford to buy a home, raise a family, and retire with security. Ian believes government should respect how hard taxpayers work for every dollar and focus tax relief on the families, seniors, and homeowners who need it most.

    Ian will fight to:

    • Eliminate property taxes for disabled veterans in recognition of their service and sacrifice

    • Expand the Homestead Exemption to provide greater property tax relief for seniors and families on fixed incomes.

    • Provide meaningful property tax relief while protecting essential local services and schools.

    • Keep taxes affordable for working and middle-class families.

    • Demand greater accountability for how every taxpayer dollar is spent.

  • Make more things here. Northwest Ohio was built by generations of people who made things, built things, and worked with their hands. Ian wants to build on that heritage so our children don't have to leave home to find opportunity.

    Ian will fight to:

    • Strengthen Northwest Ohio's manufacturing base and attract good-paying jobs.

    • Cut unnecessary red tape that makes it harder to start and grow a small business.

    • Expand skilled-trades, career-technical, and workforce training opportunities.

    • Create opportunities that encourage Ohio graduates, skilled workers, and young families to build their futures here.

  • Every family deserves to feel safe in their home and neighborhood. Ian believes public safety requires supporting the men and women who protect our communities, holding repeat violent offenders accountable, and giving appropriate nonviolent first-time offenders an opportunity to get their lives back on track.

    Ian will fight to:

    • Ensure police, firefighters, and EMS have the resources, training, and equipment they need.

    • Hold repeat violent offenders accountable and keep dangerous criminals off our streets.

    • Expand effective mental-health and crisis-response training.

    • Support second-chance programs for appropriate nonviolent first-time offenders.

    • Address blight and other neighborhood conditions that contribute to crime and declining communities.

  • Every child deserves an excellent education, regardless of their ZIP code. With a public-school teacher in his own family, Ian understands that teachers need the freedom to teach, parents deserve a meaningful voice, and students need more pathways to successful careers.

    Ian will fight to:

    • Properly fund Ohio's public schools

    • Reduce unnecessary administrative mandates so teachers can spend more time teaching.

    • Protect parental choice and give families access to the educational environment that works best for their child.

    • Expand career-technical education, skilled trades, STEM, AP, and workforce pathways.

    • Ensure schools have access to resources necessary to keep students and teachers safe.

  • Military service runs through generations of Ian's family, and he believes Ohio has an obligation to stand behind the men and women who stood up for our country. Supporting veterans should mean more than thanking them for their service—it should mean making Ohio a place where veterans and military families can thrive.

    Ian will fight to:

    • Eliminate property taxes for Ohio's disabled veterans.

    • Make it easier for veterans and military spouses to transfer professional licenses and credentials to Ohio.

    • Expand pathways connecting veterans with good-paying careers and skilled-trades opportunities.

    • Improve coordination of state services available to veterans and their families.

    • Ensure Ohio remains a welcoming place for service members to build their lives after leaving the military.

  • Government works for the people—not the other way around. Ian believes taxpayers deserve to know where their money goes, citizens should have access to public records, and elected officials should constantly look for ways to make government more efficient.

    Ian will fight to:

    • Expand government spending transparency so taxpayers can see how their money is being used.

    • Protect reasonable public access to government records.

    • Require regular reviews of state spending and challenge outdated or unnecessary programs.

    • Reduce unnecessary bureaucracy and regulations.

    • Support Congressional term limits and the principle that public service should be service not a lifelong career.

  • Quality healthcare doesn't mean much if families can't afford it. Ian believes Ohio can lower healthcare costs by increasing competition and transparency, addressing the cost of essential medications, and focusing resources on patients rather than bureaucracy.

    Ian will fight to:

    • Make essential prescription medications, including lifesaving inhalers, more affordable.

    • Increase healthcare price transparency so patients can understand costs before receiving care.

    • Encourage competition and consumer choice to help drive down healthcare costs.

    • Strengthen access to mental-health care and effective crisis services.

  • Northwest Ohio's economy depends on affordable, reliable energy and infrastructure capable of supporting future growth. Ian supports an all-of-the-above approach that keeps the lights on, protects ratepayers, and ensures our region can compete for the jobs of tomorrow.

    Ian will fight to:

    • Protect access to affordable, reliable, and dependable energy.

    • Strengthen Ohio's electric grid and maintain the generation necessary to meet growing demand.

    • Ensure large new energy users don't unfairly shift their costs onto Ohio families.

    • Ensure Data Center development is transparent and includes community input.

    • Invest in the roads, bridges, rail, port, airport, water, and other infrastructure Northwest Ohio needs to grow.
